Girl playing the piano

Our Lessons

Piano lessons are a great way of helping you to focus on something other than the normal busy routine of life.

They are a "third area" that is neither your work nor your home life, giving you time to enjoy something for yourself while acquiring new skills.

It is this acquisition of knowledge that motivation experts, like Anthony Robins, cite as critical to happiness - indeed, it enables you to grow as an individual no matter what stage of life. Therefore, playing a musical instrument can be one of the best things that you can do to improve your happiness and productivity, not to mention the joy you can bring to others by playing music.

A little update: Due to the current pandemic, face to face piano lessons are being replaced by Skype/Facebook piano lessons. To get started, you will need an instrument, smartphone, a printer for printing off sheet music for the lessons or a good-sized laptop/tablet screen that you can display the music on. I will then contact to check our connection and set up our virtual music lesson.

I have found from experience that many of my pupils love getting immersed in a piece of music during our lesson, finally enabling them to relax from their worries outside the classroom, meaning that they go home with a positivity that helps them re-focus on their life. Piano lessons are also a great tool for young students to build up self-confidence, musical understanding and social skills.

I also provide students with a free practice pack of resources to use once they’ve settled into regular lessons to help them to enjoy practising when they’re at home. This includes online resources to help with playing the piano and reading the music.

Why not book in for a session and see if these lessons suit you? There’s no obligation to book in for a whole series at all. So you can try it and see. You’ll love learning to read music and performing pieces – it will be great fun and so enriching. It’s brilliant brain food too music – it helps with keeping the mind active and engaged.
